Formulated with SkinSense’s innovative double encapsulation of pure retinol at an entry-level 0.3% concentration, this lightweight serum is a great introduction to those new to the powerful anti-ageing ingredient. Retinol (Vitamin A) works by stimulating the skin's natural cell renewal process, which in turn promotes a fresher, more youthful looking complexion. Uneven skin tone, pigmentation and other imperfections appear reduced over time thanks to a gentle, yet effective increase in cell turnover. A double encapsulation of retinol ensures not only a stable and sustained delivery into the skin, but also reduces risk of 'over-loading' the skin and risking irritation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

For those new to retinol, introduce this into your night time routine gradually 2-3 times a week. Build up use to every other night. For more robust skin types and those already using retinols, use nightly. Retinol is a powerful active ingredient which can make your skin a little more sun sensitive so it’s important to wear additional sun protection during the daytime. Due to its potency, there is a clinical smell to the serum which totally dissipates after a few seconds.

Lovely retinol

I have used retinols/retinal serums before but as I have used Ultrasun products for years I decided to try SkinSense. I really love the lamellar technology. My skin feels great.

Best serum ever

Bought the first serum in 2019 and absolutely loved it, following that I tried various
SkinSense products with good results, anti-ageing day and night creams etc: but have returned to the Retinol Serum, love the 'smell', this really works for me.

This product goes on quite nicely, however the initial smell when you press the pump to release the product is absolutely revolting- almost like vomit. It them changes to a slightly more floral fragrance but the initial smell is so off putting, I’ve put the product in the bin.

Why is SkinSense so highly fragranced?

Lovely serum but struggle with this range as everything so highly fragranced. Why is this addition necessary when retinol and actives can already be irritating. Just don’t need to add in unwanted perfume
